Tips for Parents

Routine Make a flexible daily schedule with you and your child for school, chores and free time.

Plan time for yourself- It can be difficult to find time for yourself. There are changes to your routine and some anxiety about the uncertainty of the next few weeks.

Talk with your child- Kids have fears like we do and are aware when others in the family are stressed. Take time to express your feelings with each other and reassure them. Some ideas to deal with stress is to take deep breaths, get outside (keeping social distancing) play a game together, etc.

Classroom Counseling

I will be hosting counseling lessons twice a month in each K-5 classroom. Talks will focus on character traits, manners, friendships and, bullying. I enjoy our time in the classroom, talking with your student and sharing ideas as we grow together.

Individual Counseling

Please feel free to contact me if you would like your student to be seen for individual counseling to talk about current struggles. I will contact you if your student has been referred and I will be visiting with them. Thank you for partnering with me feel free to come in and talk with me my door is always open.

Group Counseling

I will be having several counseling groups this year based on the needs of our students. Some of our groups are as follows:
